Tara Brady quits Southend United

TARA Brady has quit as Southend United’s chief executive.
Speculation was rife at Roots Hall last night after Brady was not in attendance for a disappointing 4-1 defeat to Swindon Town.
It is now believed Brady has decided to depart after a conflict with club chairman Ron Martin.
Brady has helped transform Blues both on and off the pitch since his arrival in December 2010.
Under his guidance, the club’s losses have been cut by a third and the team has risen from being a point above the relegation zone to be challenging for promotion towards the top of the table.
However, Brady has become less involved in recent weeks and failed to attend a fans forum held at Roots Hall last week.
In an exclusive Echo interview a fortnight ago he also revealed he was not enjoying his role at Blues as much as he expected.
